About Us
American Animal Alliance is a newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting local animal shelters and the communities they serve. We were founded to fill the gaps where shelters face challenges, providing resources and assistance to help ensure every animal receives the care it needs.
We are proud to have established a strong partnership with the Harrison County Humane Society in Ohio, working together to make a meaningful impact in the lives of animals and the people who care for them. As our organization grows and resources allow, we aim to expand our support to additional shelters throughout Harrison County and eventually to surrounding counties, amplifying our mission of compassion and care for animals in need.
Our Story
The Reason We Started
Our journey began after a recent, horrific animal abuse case in our county deeply affected us and made us want to take action. As individuals with full-time jobs and other commitments, we realized we couldn’t dedicate consistent hours to a single organization, but we still wanted to make a tangible difference. We envisioned a way to help on a project-by-project basis—stepping in when an existing shelter faces a specific challenge or strain, and taking the lead to resolve it from start to finish. This approach allows us to address both small and large problems seamlessly, supporting shelters directly without pulling from the resources they need to care for animals every day.
